    Showcase Collection. The superbly detailed coffer opens without Davy Jones' key--Made of resin with a wood finish, it measures 10-inches tall × 14-inches wide. As one of the most important film props, this chest makes a significant addition to any Pirate's collection. No self-respecting privateer-- or collector of pirate lore-

    Creating just the right look for this critical piece proved challenging. Designers tried more than a dozen iterations before settling on the rugged style. The panels feature carved Kraken arms and a heart-shaped crab forms the locking mechanism. Two chests were created for filming: one with hydraulics inside to lift the lid, and a second with a beautifully finished interior for use in close ups.
