    Description

    Italy Star Medal (Great Britain Second World War) original medal without ribbon. Found on English country estate (Hawks Hill in Leatherhead (Surrey), England) that was utilized as home for wounded officers in recovery during the Second World War. Medal was found in garden in late 1970s and has minor scratching, rust, and wear from being in the ground. It has been in a box for the last 40 plus years. Potential to be restored and a replacement ribbon procured.
