With two switchable channels voiced for rhythm and lead tones, the VH4-2 pedal starts with wide-ranging controls for Gain, Treble, Middle, and Bass. First unleashed in 1992, the Diezel VH4-2 is a KT77-powered tube amp with a reputation for exceptional metal tone. You can hear it on recordings by Metallica, Korn, Tool, Staind, and other modern metal pioneers. The amp's four channels ranged from sparkling clean to ultra-high gain — the VH4-2 pedal emulates channel three, or the Mega channel. This is the channel most metal players gravitate toward, offering startling high-gain intensity and immense sonic girth. The VH4-2 allows you to switch between two voicings for rhythm and lead roles, each with its own gain and master volume controls.
